The New 14LP: Ultra Low Profile, Ultra High Expectations
The Big Tex 14LP Ultra Low Profile Dump Trailer is set to deliver outstanding performance for customers and dealers alike. With a durable new frame design, a premium feature set and ultra-low profile, the 14LP delivers lasting strength and incredible value, makes loading safer, easier and more convenient than ever before, and is destined to be a volume leader for dealers.
“From landscaping and agricultural to roofing, construction and remodeling, the 14LP is an outstanding new option for a wide range of customers,” said Johnathan Bradley, Vice President of Sales for Big Tex. “We’ve redesigned this popular model to be even more durable and feature-rich, providing added value and ultimate reliability.”
Notably, the tongue and center beam of the 14LP are one continuous piece of 8” I-beam, resulting in a lower profile and more robust design. The trailer’s ultra-low 28” deck height allows for more ergonomic loading of materials as well as a safer loading angle for equipment. Beneath the bed, a class-leading scissor lift — rather than the more common dual-ram system — keeps the bed and frame properly aligned and enables smoother raising/lowering with less maintenance required.
Without question, durability is a defining trait of the new 14LP, from the heavy-duty 10-gauge dump box with a single-piece floor, to the reinforced square-tube steel top rail. Providing a sturdy foundation are two 7,000# cambered Dexter Brand axles, EZ-Lube hubs, 16” radial tires, and Nev-R-Adjust electric brakes.
The 14LP arrives equipment ready, with standard rear stabilizers and an optional 6.5’ rear slide-in ramp package. For added versatility, a rear combo-gate with easy-to-use holdbacks can be opened as barn doors or used as a spreader gate. Inside the bed, four D-rings are included for securing cargo.
The trailer’s L.E.D. lighting package is a brighter and longer-lasting solution than traditional incandescent lighting, while a sealed modular wiring harness protects the wiring from road debris and the elements. Additional standard features include a 12,000# side-wind, drop-leg tongue jack; a 12V Interstate deep-cycle battery with a 110V, 5-amp onboard charger; an integrated tarp shroud and roll tarp with side J-hooks; and a new integrated side step on the marker light box.
The feature upgrades, stronger framing and lower deck height compared to the 14LX are considerable, and will help the 14LP find an enthusiastic customer base (explore the differences with this flyer), and Big Tex is making a strong marketing push to introduce the trailer and help our dealership capitalize on its popularity. Look for online and email advertising and available POP for your lot. We have high expectations for this fantastic dump trailer.
“More customers turn to Big Tex for industry-leading trailers that are built to last and provide exceptional value,” said Bradley. “The 14LP Dump Trailer is an exciting new option that delivers on the promise of durability, convenience and ease of use.”
